I’m April Hamon; a born and raised Texan, a special needs mom, wife, coach and competitive powerlifter.

AprilontheRun is where I share my journey, adventures and the chaos that surrounds being a special needs mom in the pursuit of inspiring others while doing what I love.

Who is April Hamon?

I am an extremely active hybrid athlete as an ultramarathon runner, triathlete, Autism advocate, fitness enthusiast, Coach, crossfitter and Elite World Record Powerlifter and mom of three boys; running, lifting, and advocating for my non-verbal ASD son; Xander.

I’m a sponsored elite powerlifter with Anderson Powerlifting on Team Anderson, certified Powerlifting Coach and certified personal trainer, an Ambassador for FitFluential, Move More Fitness promoting an active, fit and healthy lifestyle in and around my community.

I’m a multiple business owner, survivor of sexual abuse and rape. I love my family, ALL things fitness, UFC, traveling, outdoors and photography!

So there you have it, this is me…setting an example and leading by example to inspire a healthy and active lifestyle for not just my boys but also for everyone who thinks that they can’t or don’t have the time to invest in themselves.
